Why Buy Wii? Because Colbert Says So..

In this video [via YouTube] that is circulating the internets, comedian Stephen Colbert can’t contain his unbridled glee for Wii. Concluding his “Threat Down”, or countdown of spoof threats, Colbert gives what amounts to a pat on Nintendo’s back:
The number one threat this holiday season: the Nintendo Wheeeeee! [...] The threat here is i haven’t been able to tear myself away. This, quite possibly, is one of the most addicting games of all time.
He went on to explain and demonstrate the Mii Channel and Wii Sports Boxing, respectively. Whether you bought a Wii with Mii-politician-pummeling in mind or not, you’ve got to agree the gizmo is fun!
For those taking sides in the graphics vs. gameplay debate, score another tally for gameplay. Not one word was said about Wii Sports simple visuals, nor was there any mention of the Xbox 360 or Ps3, Nintendo’s supposed competitors. According to a growing number of supporters, now including Comedy Central’s Colbert, there is no competition. Wii or bust!

One Week Later: Diary Of A Wii Owner
This will not be in chronological order. Pictures speak. So flicks go first. Summary next. More words come after the jump.
my setup [wii is literally at the center of it all]
[stack of games: Wii Sports / Madden 07 / Super MonkeyBall]
my friends and my brother [Wii Tennis in-game]
:.: Summary
Its worth every penny.
Its unpredictably fun.
I did get my parents playing…shocking.
I’ve had two Wii Parties already.
I’m still not online.
But, its so much fun offline, I don’t care.
I really wouldn’t care if I had three more Nunchuks to go with my 4 Remotes.
Also, I made a DIY a Wii Sports case and…
one Remote ran out of batteries already.
